The history of Compari began in 1860, when Gaspare Campari started to serve this flashy red drink in his Cafe Campari in Novara. Since 1904, Campari is produced at a factory in Sesto San Giovanni, near Milan.

Campari has a strong aroma and a characteristic bitter taste, with hints of blackberry and grape vines. Campari is produced as a liqueur of aromatic herbs and citrus. According to various estimates, the recipe includes from 40 to 68 ingredients, although the recipe itself is a company’s secret.
